What is Mystery Shopping?

Mystery shopping or a mystery consumer is a tool used externally by market research companies, watchdog organisations, or internally by companies themselves to measure the quality of service, or compliance with regulation, or to gather specific information about products and services. The mystery consumer’s specific identity and purpose are generally not known by the establishment being evaluated. Mystery shoppers perform specific tasks such as purchasing a product, asking questions, registering complaints or behaving in a certain way, and then provide detailed reports or feedback about their experiences.

Why is Mystery Shopping done?

Can you name 3 companies where you have recently had a good experience? Now can you name 3 companies where you have recently received a bad experience? Most people find it much easier to name the bad ones, Yet many companies present themselves as customer-centric, but many of them are still failing in delivering great customer experiences.

Our ambition is to bring mystery shopping to the next level for national and international corporations.
